Filament usage

Blackbelt 3D is an open filament platform, meaning you can insert 1.75mm filament of any manufacturer.
However, we officially support the folowing materials:

nGen copolyester
Multipurpose material most reliable easy to print with.
– Provides smooth surfaces
– For visual and functional parts
– Easy to post-process

Economy PETG
Technical material with high impact resistance
– Mechanical applications like jigs and fixtures
– Very affordable engineering plastic

Economy PLA
bio based printing material
– Visual parts
– Interior parts
– Low warp, perfect for e.g. extrusion profiles.
Note: Best practice at 35° printing angle or lower.

Cheetah TPU
Semi-flexible filament
– shore hardness of 95
– very resistant to Abrasion
– high chemical resistance

ASA
Technical material, perfect for outdoor applicatons
– Low warping
– High impact strength
– High temperature strength
– UV resistance
Note: Requires ventilation due to potentially dangerous fumes.
